Google Cloud stated on Friday that it will expand its AI-powered security operations (SecOps) area to India, in compliance with the country’s data localization regulations.
Businesses in the nation can now keep consumer data related to Google security efforts in the Mumbai area.
Given the complexity of today’s threat scenario and the skill deficit, creative and quick fixes are needed. According to Jyothi Prakash, India Head of Google Cloud Security, “Gemini in Google Security Operations is a catalyst to supercharge our customers’ security operations, a game changer to drive operational excellence with Google’s AI at scale.”
According to the firm, Google Cloud can assist more companies in the public and private sectors in realising the advantages of secure cloud infrastructure with the launch of the nation’s first SecOps region.
The security operations platform from Google Cloud is made to support security operations centre (SOC) teams at every stage of the detection and response process.
Google Cloud has revealed changes to Gemini in its security operations, aimed at reducing labour and manual procedures among security personnel.
According to Sangram Gayal, Partner and Managed Services Leader, Transformation at PwC India, “AI-powered security operations help organisations reduce their cyber risk, get faster at detection and disruption of cyber threats, and improve their efficiencies.”
