Day two shifts to automation and artificial intelligence, opening with a quality-culture case study, then an extended panel asking whether AI can transform pharmaceutical investigations, a Coherent Market Insights keynote projecting the Lab 5.0 market through 2033, and a CXO ecosystem panel.
Day 2’s conference theme — “Smart, Sustainable, AI-Driven Labs: Empowering the Future Workforce in the Pharma Industry” — is run in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA), whose senior technical advisor, Dr. Rajiv Desai, moderates the day’s marquee session.
Light Pharma’s Pravin Kulkarni opens at 11:00 am with a case study on quality sustainability and quality culture, before an extended 90-minute panel takes up one of the more pointed questions on the conference agenda: whether artificial intelligence can shift pharmaceutical quality investigations from simply finding a cause to detecting a pattern. The panel draws together perspectives from a consulting CEO, a Sai Life Sciences chief quality officer, USP India’s site head, and a former Sun Pharma global quality and compliance vice-president — a spread that suggests the discussion will weigh AI’s promise against the compliance realities of regulated manufacturing.
The afternoon opens with a keynote from Coherent Market Insights’ Mohit Shrivastava — the fair’s Knowledge Partner — projecting the Indian laboratory-automation, informatics and AI market opportunity out to 2033 under the “Lab 5.0” framing. Shrivastava then moderates a 90-minute CXO panel bringing together leadership from Smilax Laboratories, Sapien Biosciences, Aragen Life Sciences and Garphi Biosciences to discuss innovation, digital laboratories and industry collaboration across India’s scientific ecosystem.
