The opening day’s conference track tackles nitrosamine risk assessment with USP’s updated tools, India’s rising share of global branded generics, vaccine manufacturing capacity, and high-impact formulation development — closing with a regulatory-pathways panel featuring speakers from Sun Pharma and Indian Immunologicals.
The conference track opens at 11:00 am with a lamp-lighting inauguration, ahead of a day built around a single organising theme: “Transforming Bharat into a Global Pharma & Bio Powerhouse: From Scientific Excellence to Global Impact,” run in collaboration with the Indian Analytical Instruments Association.
The morning block is anchored in regulatory and manufacturing questions. The U.S. Pharmacopeia’s Dr. Mrunal Jaywant opens with an update on nitrosamine risk assessment — a compliance issue that has reshaped quality-control workflows across the generics industry in recent years — followed by Sun Pharmaceutical’s Dr. Vaibhav Dubey on India’s position in global branded generics, Indian Immunologicals’ Mr. D Mahesh on vaccine-manufacturing capacity, and Chemo India Formulations’ Dr. Abhay Gupta on high-impact formulation development. The four speakers reconvene at 12:30 pm for a panel on regulatory pathways and manufacturing excellence.
The afternoon session, from 2:00 pm, turns to India’s role as a services and devices hub: Aurigene Pharmaceuticals’ Dr. K. Balakumaran on scientific-services outsourcing and global capability centres, DRHP Testing Solutions’ Dr. Ramesh Thippani on medical-devices manufacturing and testing, MSN Labs’ Ramchandra Reddy on large-molecule development, and the Serum Institute of India’s Dr. Peddi Reddy on bio-processing. A closing panel at 3:20 pm brings the four together to discuss what the day’s speakers frame as India’s global competitive edge in services and devices.
