Waters Corporation’s chromatography and mass spectrometry systems form one of the longer-standing partnerships in Smart Labtech’s portfolio, and this year’s booth brings the company’s HPLC platforms and tandem mass spectrometry line together under one roof for liquid-phase separation and detection.
On the liquid chromatography side, the Arc HPLC and Alliance HPLC systems represent Waters’ modular approach to routine and method-transfer chromatography — platforms designed to move methods between labs, and between HPLC and UHPLC formats, without the revalidation burden that a full system change typically demands. Smart Labtech will also carry Waters’ HPLC, UHPLC and UPLC column range, marketed under the straightforward promise of maximizing separation efficiency across whichever platform a lab is running.
For mass detection, the booth features Waters’ Xevo tandem quadrupole family across three configurations — the Xevo TQ-S Cronos, the Xevo TQ-S Micro, and the Xevo TQ-XS, Waters’ triple-quadrupole flagship for high-sensitivity quantitative work. Rounding out the high-resolution segment, the Xevo G3 QTof and Xevo MRT systems extend the line into accurate-mass and high-resolution applications, relevant for labs moving from targeted quantitation into broader compound identification and screening work.
Together, the range spans the two ends of the LC-MS decision most labs actually face: routine, high-throughput quantitation on the triple-quad side, and structural confirmation or non-targeted screening on the high-resolution side — a distinction worth raising directly with Smart Labtech’s application specialists at the booth, since the right choice depends heavily on a lab’s specific regulatory and reporting requirements rather than on instrument specifications alone.
