Valedictory Ceremony Marks Culmination of ‘Weekend Wisdom’
The valedictory session of the Weekend Wisdom 2024–25 initiative, organized by O.Y.S.T.E.R. NGO, was held at Government High School, Nampally this past weekend. The event marked a meaningful conclusion to a year-long educational programme dedicated to nurturing critical thinking, creative expression, and life skills among government school students. Sponsored under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of METSAR Technology Private Limited, the gathering reaffirmed the potential of sustained mentorship in shaping young minds.
Presiding over the event as Guest of Honour, Kaneez Fathima, Sectoral Officer – District Project Office, Samagra Siksha, Hyderabad, delivered an inspiring address. She commended the innovative model adopted by O.Y.S.T.E.R., stating, “Weekend Wisdom exemplifies how structured learning outside conventional hours can ignite confidence and curiosity among students. The programme has blended classroom rigour with real-world relevance, preparing our children not just for exams, but for life.” She encouraged educators and NGOs to replicate such frameworks across other clusters and reiterated the government’s openness to collaborate with committed organizations.
Also in attendance was Maruthi Prasad Kavuri, Director, METSAR Technology Pvt. Ltd., and former Scientist at DRDO, whose words resonated with the students and mentors alike. In his address, Mr. Prasad reflected on his scientific journey, emphasizing the role of imagination, perseverance, and early guidance. He reaffirmed METSAR’s belief in empowering foundational education through meaningful CSR engagements and expressed pride in supporting an initiative that bridges institutional learning with values and vision.
