New ISRO Launch Complex
A pivotal moment in the event was the laying of the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art launch complex of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at Kulasekarapattinam. Valued at approximately Rs 986 crore, this cutting-edge facility is tailored to accommodate up to 24 launches per year, uplifting the nation’s space exploration capabilities significantly. The multifaceted complex comprises 35 comprehensive facilities, boasting a mobile launch structure (MLS) with checkout computers, marking a monumental stride in advancing the nation’s space exploration endeavors.
