Make in India at Booth C-01: Smart Labtech’s Own Engineering on Display

Smart labtech at analytica labexpo

Alongside the international brands it distributes, Smart Labtech will use this year’s booth to highlight a second identity the company has spent several years building — its own in-house manufacturing, offered under a “Make in India” positioning that spans industrial weighing, isolation and containment, and thermal and refrigeration equipment.

On the weighing side, Smart Labtech’s industrial range covers platform scales in both pole-mounting and base-mounting configurations, floor scales, and a full line of weighing indicators, with capacities running from 3 kg up to 5,000 kg across multiple platform sizes and materials of construction. The range extends into automated production environments with check weighers and tank weighing systems designed for continuous-process integration rather than manual bench use, supported by FLP indicators and balances for hazardous-area applications, and a printer and accessories line to complete the documentation chain.

The isolation and containment segment covers biosafety cabinets across three configurations: Class II Type A2, available in 3-, 4- and 6-foot models; Class II Type B2 with 100% exhaust for the more hazardous work that recirculating cabinets can’t safely handle; and a Class II Cytotoxic configuration running a 30% exhaust, 70% recirculation split, sized for 4-foot installations. Fume hoods follow a similar depth of configuration — ducted chemical fume hoods in 4-, 5- and 6-foot sizes with modular frame construction, auto sliding sash systems and compliance-ready design, alongside ductless variants using ULPA filtration on the downflow side and combined ULPA-and-HEPA filtration on exhaust, rated up to 99.9997% efficiency, available in both bench-top and floor-mounted formats and in stainless steel, chemical-resistant, or epoxy-coated mild steel construction depending on the chemical load a lab expects to handle. Laminar airflow units, in both vertical and horizontal orientation and 3-, 4- and 6-foot sizes, hold ISO Class 5 clean-air standards using HEPA H14 filtration, with the vertical range adding automatic airflow compensation technology and the horizontal units offering programmable UV decontamination and 8 mm-thick glass side walls for operator visibility without compromising containment.

Thermal and refrigeration equipment rounds out the in-house range. Autoclaves span vertical models from 40 to 180 litres and horizontal models from 250 to 1,000 litres, running steam sterilization between 105°C and 134°C with a standard 121°C cycle and pneumatically sealed, interlocked doors. Laboratory and BOD incubators, along with hot air ovens running as high as 250°C, complete the general-purpose thermal range. On refrigeration, the ultra-low-temperature freezer line runs down to −86°C across sizes from 100 to 858 litres using a high-efficiency imported dual compressor and direct cooling system, while separate deep-freezer and −20°C-to−40°C freezer lines cover intermediate storage needs. Lab refrigerators, sized 360 to 941 litres, add microprocessor-based temperature control, a built-in non-editable data logger, password-protected access and remote monitoring — features that push a conventional refrigerator noticeably closer to the audit-ready standard usually associated with analytical instruments rather than storage equipment.

For a company still widely known primarily as a distributor of Sartorius, Brookfield, Memmert and the rest of its international portfolio, this segment of the booth makes the case that Smart Labtech’s own manufacturing has matured into a genuine, independently competitive product line — one built specifically around the compliance and documentation standards that Indian laboratories increasingly require, regardless of which brand’s name is on the equipment.

Smart Labtech’s in-house manufactured range will be on display at Hall-1, Booth C-01, HITEX Hyderabad, throughout analytica Lab India 2026, September 10–12.
