Telangana is taking significant strides to prepare its younger generation for an AI-driven future by integrating AI education into the mainstream academic curriculum and forming strategic partnerships with leading tech giants. The state plans to introduce an AI curriculum in government schools, ensuring that students as young as 15 are equipped with foundational knowledge in AI, machine learning, and ethical considerations around technology use. This initiative will empower students with the skills they need to thrive in a technology-driven world and foster a culture of innovation from a young age.
In addition to curriculum reforms, Telangana has partnered with global tech leaders like Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as local organizations like NxtWave Disruptive Technologies Private Limited, to deliver AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity training programs. These collaborations will train over 250,000 students, professionals, and educators through workshops, hands-on training, and certification programs, providing them with practical skills that align with industry demands. The aim is to build a future-ready workforce capable of driving AI-led growth in Telangana and beyond.
Moreover, Telangana is committed to building capacity within the government itself. The state is investing in training public sector officials to ensure they are equipped with the necessary AI skills to enhance governance, improve public service delivery, and implement AI-driven solutions across various departments.
Another key partnership with NVIDIA will provide AI-focused training to students from 200 technical institutions, offering specialized programs that delve deeper into AI and machine learning. This initiative ensures that students are not only familiar with AI theory but also gain practical experience in developing AI-driven solutions, preparing them to meet the demands of the future workforce.
