HITEX Hyderabad hosts the International Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis, Biotechnology and Diagnostics from September 10–12, jointly organised by the Indian Analytical Instruments Association and Messe München, bringing together instrument makers, pharma associations and a three-day conference programme under one roof, reports Rashmi Kumari of Neo Science Hub.
Hyderabad’s HITEX Exhibition Centre opens its doors to analytica Lab India 2026 on September 10, the city’s turn once again to host South Asia’s most closely watched marketplace for laboratory technology, analysis, biotechnology and diagnostics. The three-day fair runs through September 12 and is jointly organised by the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA) and Messe München, with Messe Muenchen India Pvt. Ltd. operating the event on the ground.
The fair spans five exhibition halls at HITEX. Hall 3 carries a dedicated International Pavilion and Hall 5 a China Pavilion, a layout that signals the event’s dual character: a home ground for Indian instrument and equipment manufacturers, and a meeting point for overseas suppliers, many of them from China, seeking a foothold in the Indian laboratory and pharmaceutical market. Running in parallel, on the first floor of Hall 5, is a three-day conference track carrying a different theme each day — regulatory and manufacturing ambitions on Day 1, automation and artificial intelligence on Day 2, and the shape of the “intelligent laboratory” on Day 3.
Beyond the exhibition floor and conference rooms, the organisers have built in a Live Experiment Arena for hands-on product demonstrations, a Buyer-Seller Forum for structured networking, and hospitality touches — an MMI Executive Club Lounge, a VIP Lunch Area and a podcast recording space — aimed at giving the event more than a trade-show feel.
Partners and the exhibitor base
Coherent Market Insights features as Knowledge Partner and also delivers the Day 2 keynote on the Indian laboratory-automation market. The Afro Arab Business Association is listed as Africa Business Partner and Rays Pharma Solutions as Outreach Partner. A cluster of pharmaceutical-industry bodies — the Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs (FOPE), FSME India, the Goa Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association, the Karnataka Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association and the Madhya Pradesh Small Scale Drug Manufacturers’ Association, among others — appear as supporting associations, underlining the event’s pull beyond Telangana into India’s wider generics manufacturing base. The exhibitor list published in the official guide runs to several dozen Indian and international companies spread across the five halls — from chromatography and analytical-instrument specialists to pharmaceutical equipment, glassware, chemicals and laboratory-safety suppliers, alongside a visible contingent of Chinese manufacturers concentrated in Hall 5’s China Pavilion.
