The most extensive gathering of pharmaceutical and analytical industry leadership in recent memory converged this morning at HITEX Exhibition Centre as analytica Lab India & Pharma Pro&Pack Expo 2025 officially opened with an unprecedented assembly of sectoral representatives. The ceremony, which commenced with individual introductions of each distinguished participant, showcased the breadth of stakeholder engagement spanning pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, entrepreneurship, analytical instrumentation, and international cooperation.
The meticulously orchestrated inaugural proceedings featured a comprehensive roll call of industry luminaries, beginning with Guest of Honour Madan Mohan Reddy, Whole Time Director of Aurobindo Pharma, followed by Special Guest Anita Desai, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany. The assembly expanded to include Chakravarti AVPS, Global Ambassador of the World Packaging Organization; Harish Jain, National President of the Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs (FOPE); and Jatish Seth representing the Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, among others. Notable dual representation from the Indian Pharma Machinery Manufacturers Association included both President Harshit Shah and Vice President Shehul Sheikh, while the Indian Analytical Instruments Association was represented by both current President Ravindranath Cherukuri and Past President Chandrahas Shetty.
The ceremony’s environmental centerpiece—a collective sapling planting exercise—transformed traditional inauguration protocols into a tangible commitment to sustainability. With organizers providing gloves for participants who preferred them while accommodating those willing to “get dirty” without protective gear, the informal atmosphere belied the serious environmental messaging. The synchronized planting and watering of saplings, conducted on a coordinated count of three, culminated in the formal declaration that “Analytica Lab India and Pharma Pro & Pack Expo 2025” was officially open, marking the commencement of three days that organizers positioned as pivotal for South Asian pharmaceutical and analytical advancement.
Following the ceremonial proceedings, the complete delegation embarked on a comprehensive tour of the exhibition halls, providing unprecedented access to the industry’s current technological priorities and future direction. The tour, lasting approximately two hours, covered all major pavilions with particular attention to innovations in laboratory automation, sustainable manufacturing, and analytical excellence.
The VIP delegation’s inaugural booth visit strategically commenced at Hall 1, Booth C01, where Smart Labtech’s presence in the Lab Equipment Pavilion provided an immediate introduction to India’s domestic analytical capabilities. Guest of Honour Madan Mohan Reddy engaged in substantive discussions with Venkata Satya Prasad Potharaju, Managing Director of Smart Labtech, examining the company’s laboratory equipment portfolio and its applications in pharmaceutical quality control environments. The interaction highlighted Smart Labtech’s role in providing cost-effective analytical solutions tailored to Indian laboratory requirements while maintaining international quality standards.
The delegation’s extended visit to the Software & Automation Pavilion revealed industry leadership’s serious engagement with digital transformation initiatives. Ravindranath Cherukuri, President of IAIA, guided the group through demonstrations of AI-driven analytical software and laboratory information management systems, emphasizing their role in improving data integrity and operational efficiency.
Initial attendance figures indicated strong industry response, with early morning registration queues suggesting significant professional interest. Exhibition organizers reported robust international participation, with delegations from over 25 countries registered for the three-day event.
