Beyond the headline brands anchoring Smart Labtech’s booth this year, a further ten principals fill out the display — a spread covering elemental spectroscopy, vacuum and stirring equipment, high-temperature processing, water and microbiological testing, and specialized containment. Individually, several of these lines are compact; together, they round out what is otherwise one of the more comprehensive analytical-instrumentation booths at this year’s show.
Elemental and spectroscopic analysis. Spectro Ametek’s spectrometer range covers both major elemental analysis techniques: ICP-OES instruments — the Arcos, Genesis and Spectrogreen — alongside the Spectrogreen MS for ICP-MS work, and a separate XRF and ED-XRF line spanning the Xepos, Midex, Cube and Scout models. NIC’s mercury analyzers address the same elemental-analysis space from a different angle: the MA-3000 Series performs direct mercury analysis across solid, liquid and gas samples with no sample preparation required, while the AM-6F Series is a fully automated, continuous mercury monitor capable of measuring gaseous elemental mercury from ambient air down to sub-nanogram-per-cubic-metre levels, using direct gold amalgamation sampling with fluorescence detection. Photron supplies the light-source layer underneath much of this spectroscopy — hollow cathode lamps for single- and multi-element AAS work, deuterium lamps for background correction, “super lamps” for elements with resonance spectra in the far UV such as arsenic and selenium, and graphite tubes compatible with instrument brands including Varian, PerkinElmer, GBC, Thermo Elemental, Thermo Jarrell Ash, Hitachi and Shimadzu — a detail relevant to any lab running AAS instruments from a brand other than the ones on Smart Labtech’s own principal list.
Process and lab infrastructure. Vacuubrand’s chemistry-grade vacuum pumps and pumping units span ultimate vacuum levels from 1.5 to 7 mbar with pumping speeds up to 3.4 m³/h, offered in oil-free, chemically resistant configurations for solvent-heavy applications. Velp’s range covers laboratory stirring — the Multi-HS digital multi-position hot plate stirrer, the AREX 5 advanced hot plate stirrer, and digital overhead stirrers and dispersers — alongside elemental analysis instruments including the NDA 702 Dumas nitrogen analyzer and the EMA 502 CHNS-O elemental analyzer, plus automated Kjeldahl distillation and titration systems for protein analysis. Nabertherm’s high-temperature furnace range, capable of running as high as 3,000°C in its most extreme configurations, covers muffle furnaces (up to 1,100°C or 1,200°C), tube furnaces, clean-room furnaces, ashing furnaces (up to 1,100°C or 1,400°C depending on model), vacuum furnaces, brazing furnaces and dedicated melting furnaces.
Water quality and microbiology. Horiba Laqua’s water-testing range spans bench meters with LCD or full-colour touchscreen displays in both the 1000 and 2000 series, handheld meters in the WQ-200 and WQ-300 series, the pocket-sized LAQUAtwin format for field use, and a supporting range of electrodes. Interscience covers the microbiological side of water and food safety testing, offering solutions spanning sampling through to bacterial analysis.
Containment and reaction technology. Plaslabs’ isolation and containment range includes custom glove boxes, animal-care and research glove boxes, PCR chambers, and desiccators — equipment aimed at protecting sensitive samples or protecting operators, depending on the application. Spinchem’s rotating bed reactors — the RBR S2 Plus, S3 Plus, S4 and S5 — offer what the company markets as superior mass transfer technology for reaction and extraction chemistry, a less commonly seen category on the Indian trade-show floor and worth a stop for process chemists specifically.
Visitors with a specific requirement in any of these categories are advised to ask for the relevant specialist directly at Booth C-01 — several of these lines, while compact in this overview, carry considerably more technical depth than a shared display allows to summarize.
These instruments will be on display alongside Smart Labtech’s headline brands at Hall-1, Booth C-01, HITEX Hyderabad, September 10–12.
