A few weeks from now comes the scheduled unusual celestial occurrence, and we can’t wait to be excited. Every few years, there occurs a total solar eclipse, which is a breathtaking sight to see. When the sun, moon, and earth are all perfectly lined up that is, when the moon passes between the earth and the sun a total solar eclipse occurs. The moon momentarily darkens the day sky by preventing the sun’s rays from reaching Earth. We are eager to see the celestial phenomena in person since it is an uncommon sight to see.
The total solar eclipse will occur on April 8th 2024, one of the longest solar eclipses in the last fifty years is going to occur. The complete solar eclipse on April 8 will begin at 2:12 PM and terminate at 2:22 PM. The day sky will be dark for 7.5 minutes, which is the longest period of darkness. It will be observable from portions of North America, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This phenomenon will not be visible to anyone in India.
There are several reasons why this complete solar eclipse is noteworthy. The lunar proximity to Earth will be at its closest point, 3, 60,000 kilometers, one day before to the complete solar eclipse. As a result, the moon will look larger than normal in the night sky. It will be a stunning celestial sight to see this complete solar eclipse because of the near moon approach and the solar background.
As we prepare to see the complete solar eclipse, it is crucial that we wear the appropriate protection. When seeing a solar eclipse, we must always use eyewear. To fully see the event, though, you will need to take off your glasses at the phase when the moon entirely obscures the sun. Solar retinopathy can be brought on by prolonged sun exposure. We need to make sure we wear the appropriate solar eclipse glasses to prevent blindness. In order to observe the solar picture, we may also utilize a camera obscura or pinhole projector to project it onto a wall or the ground.
