According to PJTAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Aldas Janaiah, while this volume represents only about one percent of the state’s total annual seed demand, the distributed foundation seed possesses significantly higher utility value than conventional commercial seed.

Individual farmers are restricted to purchasing a maximum of two foundation seed kits per crop, with each kit sufficient to cultivate approximately two acres. To manage demand within supply constraints, the university implemented an advance booking system operational from May 18-22, allowing farmers from each district to pre-register through designated sales centers.
