A new Multi-Purpose Centre (MPC) has opened in Limbuguda, a village in the Kumram Bheem Asifabad district, providing essential resources and support to the local tribal community. This centre is a part of the PM JANMAN scheme and has been developed with support from the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) and the district administration.
The MPC features state-of-the-art facilities, including a mini-library, computer systems, and AI-based learning tools, aimed at benefiting children and women in the community. One of the standout areas is the Education Room, where students from local primary schools can access modern technology and learning resources.
In addition to educational tools, the centre also addresses health needs. It is equipped with facilities for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) management, Antenatal Check-Ups (ANC), and offers telemedicine services, making healthcare more accessible for the tribal population.
The MPC serves as a vital platform for local tribes to market their products, supporting economic independence. It includes a conference room with a projector to facilitate meetings and community gatherings.
The walls of the centre are beautifully decorated with thematic paintings that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Adivasi community. These artworks tell inspiring stories, including that of Kumram Bheem, a revered leader in the region’s history.
During a recent visit, Harsh Malhotra, the Minister of State for Road, Transport & Highways, praised the initiative and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the ITDA and district officials.
This multi-purpose centre is seen as a significant step forward for the Limbuguda community, promising improved education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for local tribal residents.
