In a remarkable achievement, JB Pharma has been officially recognized by the Asia Book of Records for conducting an astounding 17,202 microalbuminuria tests within a single week. This initiative, conducted as part of their “One Mission, Nephro Protection” campaign, aims to enhance awareness about kidney health, particularly in individuals at risk, such as those with hypertension.
Microalbuminuria tests are pivotal in the early detection of kidney damage, especially in patients with diabetes or high blood pressure. These tests measure the presence of albumin in urine, with an elevated level indicating potential kidney dysfunction. By identifying such conditions early, healthcare providers can implement timely interventions to avert further complications, such as chronic kidney disease or renal failure.
The recent campaign revealed concerning statistics among the hypertensive patients screened. Approximately 67.04% of participants showed early signs of possible kidney damage, while around 18% were newly diagnosed with hypertension. These findings underscore the urgent need for widespread screenings and proactive management strategies in tackling cardiovascular and renal health.
