The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is hosting a significant event called ‘Vigyan Vaibhav’ in Hyderabad from February 28 to March 2. This event marks a special opportunity for students and the general public to learn about India’s defence capabilities. Inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the exhibition will take place at the Gachibowli stadium and is being organized in celebration of Indian National Science Day.
During the three-day event, visitors can see impressive displays of modern defence technology. The DRDO will showcase various items, including hypersonic missiles, the Arjun battle tank, advanced drones, and cutting-edge radar systems. There will be around 200 stalls featuring products from defence research labs, public sector units, and private companies within the defence sector.
One of the main goals of this exhibition is to engage young people and raise awareness about career opportunities in defence and aerospace. The organizers expect to welcome 25,000 to 30,000 students who will have the chance to explore new technologies and gain insights into their future career paths. Interactive sessions with industry experts will also be available, allowing students to ask questions and learn more about the field.
On the first day, the event is open only for registered students. From March 1 to March 2, the general public can attend and experience the showcase firsthand, between 9 AM and 6 PM. This is an exciting chance for everyone to see and understand how Indian defence technology is evolving and contributing to the nation’s security. Overall, ‘Vigyan Vaibhav’ promises to be an informative and inspiring event, highlighting the advancements in defence technology and encouraging youth involvement in this crucial field.
