Hyderabad is set to host BioAsia 2026 on February 17-18, drawing global leaders in AI, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals to the Hyderabad International Convention Centre. The 23rd annual summit, themed “TechBio Unleashed: AI, Automation & the Biology Revolution,” aims to chart the convergence of artificial intelligence, cutting-edge biology, and advanced manufacturing in transforming healthcare.
The state recently unveiled its 2026-30 policy at the World Economic Forum in Davos, targeting top-five global status. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu will inaugurate the event, underscoring Hyderabad’s role as India’s biotech capital. The city’s Genome Valley already hosts over 250 companies, generating thousands of jobs and billions in revenue.
A highlight session, “Telangana Rising Vision 2047,” will detail strategies for AI-powered R&D, innovative therapies, and biomanufacturing. Organizers anticipate breakthroughs in accelerating drug development amid rising demands for personalized medicine.
The lineup features luminaries like Dr. Stefan Miltenyi, founder of Miltenyi Biotec, who will trace the path from lab to mass production of next-gen biologics. Dr. Howard Y. Chang, Amgen’s chief scientific officer, plans to discuss AI’s potential in identifying drug targets. Pushmeet Kohli, Google DeepMind’s vice president of science, will highlight AI-protein science advances speeding biomedical discoveries. On day two, Sanofi’s Madeleine Roach will outline AI integration across R&D and manufacturing.
Additional speakers from MSD, Novartis, Medtronic, Eli Lilly, and Unilabs will address India’s global capability centers in life sciences and their impact on patient care. The program includes nine sessions and an exclusive CEO meeting, tackling supply chain innovation, 2030 growth opportunities, and AI in research, development, and contract services.
With over 1,000 delegates expected, BioAsia 2026 reinforces Hyderabad’s biotech stature, building on past editions that spurred investments worth billions.
