About Course

The subject on “Digital Systems” is dealt with the design of various switching circuits, mainly the Combinational circuits and Sequential circuits. It comes in 3 parts.

The course Digital Systems Part – I provides the fundamental concepts, which are needed to design the digital circuits, i.e., about Number Systems, Boolean Algebra and Minimization of switching functions.

The course Digital Systems Part – II describes about the design of various Combinational circuits. The course Digital Systems Part – III describes about the design of Sequential circuits.

What Will You Learn?

  • Various number systems, Binary Arithmetic, Binary codes, Complements, Error detecting & correcting codes, Boolean Algebra, Standard forms, Simplification of switching functions using Boolean Algebra, Logic gates & Implementation using logic gates, Minimization using K – Map and Tabulation methods.
